Later he was told he would instead receive a check to reimburse him for the cost of a new mailbox. The homeowner was told by an apparent crew supervisor that his mailbox would be replaced. It was damaged but put back into the ground. One resident's mailbox was knocked over by the workers.Unfortunately, the project did not go smoothly. There was much digging up of dirt and grass from the easement area of our homes. As it turns out, all four streets of our small subdivision were affected by this work. Nobody knew which streets would be affected nor when the project would be completed.

A few of our residents (I'm on the board of our homeowners' association) spoke to the workers and were told that AT&T was installing fiber optics to the neighborhood. Subcontracted labor simply showed up one day and began digging. We home owners were not informed of anything in advance (we did NOT receive any door tags). At the beginning of February 2021, AT&T began adding underground fiber optics to our neighborhood.
